Route information

Via Kempton Park (shorter route)

  1. Take the highway to Oliver Tambo airport.
  2. As you approach the airport instead of taking the off ramp to the airport, continue straight following the signs to Kempton Park.
  3. After 10 km or so take the turn off marked Bronkhorstspruit / Bapsfontein. This takes you under the highway and to an intersection where you need to turn left (keep following the signs that say Bronkhorstspruit / Bapsfontein).
  4. After 20 to 30 km on this highway there is a T-junction where you turn right.
  5. After 1 to 2 km at an intersection you turn left to Bronkhorstspruit.
  6. After another 20 to 40 km you reach Bronkhorstspruit and you will see the big Chinese temple on the left. The road you are on crosses over the N4 highway and after another kilometre you come to a traffic light. You are on the R25 heading North. Bronkhorstspruit is on the left, but do not turn in. There are two further stops, and then proceed for another 2 km till you reach the signboard on the left saying Ezemvelo. Turn Right onto the Vlakfontein dirt road.
  7. Follow the signs on the dirt road for 20km. Sign boards are placed at 11km out, 8km out and 3km out.

Via the N4 from the direction of Pretoria

If proceeding from Johannesburg you can join the N4 East by taking the Witbank / Emalahleni turnoff from the N1 North.

  1. Take the N4 from Pretoria towards Bronkhorstspruit.
  2. Take the 2nd turnoff to Bronkhorstspruit. You will see the big Chinese temple on the right, before you turn off.
  3. You are on the R25 heading North. Bronkhorstspruit is on the left, but do not turn in.
  4. There are two further stops, and then proceed for another 2 km till you reach the brown signboard on the left saying Ezemvelo.
  5. Turn Right onto the Vlakfontein dirt road.
  6. Follow the signs on the dirt road for 20km. Sign boards are placed at 11km out, 8km out and 3km out.
